What is Lapin Leisku

In the year something, the host was sitting by the fire with a friend at the edge of Lentovaara and stated that if we ever have a business, it will be called 'Leisku' (flicker in Finnish). Everyone can then infer what all that encompasses, but at least the flickering of the campfire, the northern lights, and the rays of the midnight sun. Thus, one January night in 2019, the story of Lapin Leisku got its spark, aiming to create something, preferably in a way that a new life in Unari, 'in the middle of nowhere,' would succeed.

With crazy ideas, courage, and above all, action, we have experienced truly incredible things and met wonderful people. At many events, House Leisku has been filled with joyful celebrants, and the atmosphere is always warm and inviting. It is clear that people enjoy it when something is happening here. We want to offer something for everyone, and this is reflected in our events and artists, ranging from fishing competitions to top performers.

There’s always plenty going on at Leisku, and the ideas never run out, but one thing always seems to lead naturally to another. The best part is that people have found us, and 'without you, there wouldn’t be us".  This is a good starting point to continue Leisku's colorful story.
